Honda Odyssey and Acura MDX Recall

American Honda Motor Company, more commonly knows as Honda, is recalling some of the 2003 and 2004 Honda Odyssey and 2003 Acura MDX vehicles. Due to electrical issue, the air bag control module may fail causing the front air bags, side curtain air bags, and/or seatbelt pretensioners to deploy inadvertently while the vehicle is being operated. Of concern is the inadvertent deployment of the air bags during the operation of the vehicle as such could increase the risk of crash and resulting injury and or death to the vehicle occupants and others in and around the roadway. Honda will notify owners, and dealers will install a noise suppressor unit, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin around October 28, 2013. Owners may contact Honda directly at 1-800-999-1009. Honda's recall numbers are JC2 for the Honda Odyssey and JC3 for the Acura MDX.
