Recall- Michelin Tire

Michelin North America, Inc. more commonly referred to simply as Michelin tire is recalling certain tires. Some of the affected tires are from specific batches of the following: Latitude Tour P255/70 R18 and P255/60 R19 108 S, X Radial LT2 P265/65 R18 112 T and P275/55 R20 111 T, LTX M/S2 RBL P275/55 R20 111 T, LTX M/S2 ORWL P265/60 R18 109 T, and LTX M/S2 tires P265/65 R18 112 T.

Due to a perforation in the sidewall, the affected tires may lose air pressure while the vehicle is moving. This poses a serious safety concern as a tire with a loss of air pressure may then fail ultimately leading to a loss of vehicle control and/or a crash.

Michelin will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace any affected tires free of charge. This tire recall is expected to begin by the end of July 2013. Owners seeking further information may make direct contact with Michelin Tire Consumer Care at 1-855-851-4951.
